Origami Plant Trays

Somehow I never have enough seed trays to go around. As a student, I also have lots and lots of paper. I print on the front side of the paper, write and take notes on the back side, and when that is finished, now I can fold it into biodegradable pots for my seedlings!!

If you don't want to waste computer paper, you can also use newspaper. I have seen many different models of folding. Use one of the methods below or do an online search for others.


QUICK: Some people simple roll the newspaper into tubes, a quick method:

LARGE: Medium-sized seed trays can be made from these instructions using smaller paper instead of newspaper (see photograph above):

SMALL: The smallest compartments can be made using computer paper with these instructions below. I staple them together to make larger trays of 6 or 12 pots. Of course, you can also use newspaper with any of these:
